Convergys opens call center in Round Rock
Convergys Corp. opened a call center in Round Rock to serve employees of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the company said Tuesday.
More than 80 people now work in the 27,000-square-foot center, which has 167 workstations. The center is in the Summit at La Frontera mixed-use project at I-35 and FM 1325.
Convergys opened the center after it won a contract in October to provide human resources and payroll services to 46,000 employees of the state health agency. State officials say the deal could be worth up to $85 million over five years.
Convergys (NYSE: CVG), based in Cincinnati, already employs more than 5,000 people in Texas at call centers and offices in Austin, Killeen, Houston, Brownsville, Lubbock and Pharr.
The company provides outsourced services such as billing, human resources administration and customer care.
