PlainsCapital Bank has opened its third bank in the Austin area.
A part of Dallas-based diversified financial services company, PlainsCapital Corp., the new Round Rock bank has more than $375 million in local assets.
The new 7,500-square-foot bank, which sits on the corner of LaFrontera Blvd. and Sundance Pkwy., has drive-through window and provides mortgage services, in addition to the regular banking services.
"This new location will enable us to better serve our existing clients and to build relationships with new customers drawn to our relationship-based, individualized style of banking," says James Huffines, chairman of the Central Texas and South Texas regions for PlainsCapital.
Shaun Tuggle, senior vice president and manager of Williamson County banking for PlainsCapital, will be responsible for the new bank's business activities and its six employees.
The bank's lobby hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The bank offers personal and business financial services including wealth management, trust, treasury management, capital equipment leasing, residential mortgage, title insurance and 1031 exchange services.
