Bank One open in La Frontera
An open transaction area designed to reduce wait times, a fully stocked comfort zone for customers and their children and private offices for more in depth financial discussions await customers at Bank One's new La Frontera banking center. The new office, located at 2711 La Frontera Blvd. in Round Rock at the intersection of La Frontera Boulevard and State Highway 45, opened in December.
"We're excited about bringing our products and services to Round Rock," said Stacy Shomsky, manager of the La Frontera office. "The Round Rock area is an important growth market for us as we continue to expand our distribution system in Central Texas."
The 3,900-square-foot La Frontera office employs 10 bankers and has a 24-hour drive-up ATM and night depository. Its drive-through features three lanes for consumer banking and one lane for commercial banking.
The La Frontera banking center features a new layout to streamline customer transactions. It features two teller stations where up to four tellers can conduct banking transactions. Individual offices adjacent to the customer transaction area allow relationship bankers to conduct more detailed transaction discussions with customers. The office also has a separate merchant counter for commercial customers.
"We surveyed our customers when developing this new design, so the changes employ many of their suggestions," Shomsky said. "The new design is fresh and open and should save our customers time when conducting their banking transactions."
In addition to opening new banking centers, Bank One is taking other steps to improve services for its customers. They include posting images of cleared checks on bankone.com, providing free e-mail alerts through bankone.com that notify customers when specific account transactions have taken place, and introducing "One Checking," a free checking account with no minimum balance for consumers who use direct deposit.
